MusicOregon strengthens Oregon’s music ecosystem by supporting musicians and music workers, and advocating for sustainable, community-centered music opportunities across the state.

Our Purpose
MusicOregon serves independent professional music creators and the communities and organizations that support them across Oregon. We work to:
Build networks and connections across Oregon's music sector, linking musicians, venues, educators, presenters, and other music workers;
Resource musicians and music communities across the state, including professional development and access to career advancement opportunities; and
Advocate for policies and conditions that support independent and commercial music creators.
Built for You
Traditional arts and culture institutions were not built to support commercial or independent music creators, and that gap is where MusicOregon operates. Our work treats independent and popular music as a cultural priority for the state and a source of income and employment for Oregonians. We've also researched Oregon's music ecology and hope to continue that work. As MusicOregon grows, we're working toward providing direct financial support to artists through grantmaking and other funding programs.
